Little River Canyon National Preserve is located in northeastern Alabama. The river forms-up and flows for approximately seven miles along a mountain ridge before plunging into Weiss Lake.

Reported to be one of the deepest canyons (at 700 feet) east of the Mississippi River, It served as a hiding place for Cherokee Indians during the infamous “Trail of Tears” forced march.

Seastack rocks along the Oregon coast. The unceasing surf, pounding away at the shore has left numerous such formations up and down the coastline.

Featured by a Montana magazine publisher, this image is my interpretation of the phrase “Big Sky Montana.”

The Great Smoky Mountains are known for glorious autumn color and this scene was no exception. It was shot with a light rain falling. The moisture only accents the color saturation.
