The Cajun Heritage/Rural Life Museum is located within the city limits of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and is an absolute joy to visit. Demonstrations include Cajun music and dancing and the grounds are filled with authentic buildings and farm implements.

Blount County, Alabama is one of the more scenic areas in the state. Primarily an agricultural community, scenes such as this are common place.

Oak Alley Plantation is located along River Road in Vacherie, Louisiana with the mighty Mississippi River flowing just across the road and over the levy. The 100 plus year old live oaks create an approach to the main house unparalleled by other antebellum mansions.
